The Whys?

Lake Huron Sunset 512 x 304Job had plenty of reasons to ask and complain, “Why Lord?”  “Why my family; why my business; and last but not least, why my health…I have been a faithful believer…”

We, as parents and grandparents, often only give our children the things that we know they can handle, not what they think they can handle. God knows when to reveal the reasons and answers to our “whys” and when not to reveal. Job felt it was unfair for God to withhold the secrets, but when God started to communicate with Job, he made it clear that Job’s questions were not acceptable and not sound. The scripture reminds us that the “just shall live by faith” not by explanations. And the just shall live by God’s promises, not by our finite reasoning.

Let us trust God through all the whys and let us remember that He is working all things ultimately for our good, because we love Him and are called according to his purposes.  Romans 8:28
